Architectural Designer

C/V Architects is seeking new Architectural Designer staff member for our office. Our work includes institutional work, which includes healthcare & higher ed, and interiors. We offer an engaging and collaborative environment in where creativity is encouraged. Our approach is to provide the latest technologies and practices for members to reach their maximum potential.

Responsibilities

Candidates would collaborate to develop solutions for projects in the Healthcare, Commercial, and Interiors sectors. Responsibilities include working with Project Team to produce documentation through all phases of projects – SD, DD, CD and CA.

Responsibilities to include:

  • Ability to multi-task & work on multiple projects on various project phases.

  • Design of projects on a variety of scales

  • Coordinate architectural teams including MEP, structural, security, and low voltage consultants.

  • Prepare construction documents, specifications, and oversight of construction administration

  • Technical leadership in Healthcare projects types

  • Develop schematic design into construction documents for both interior and exterior systems

  • Goal oriented and self-starter

  • Mentor junior staff

  • QA/QC of documentation

  • Collaboration on Construction Documents and Construction Administration

Qualifications

Education/skills required:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.

  • Registered architect strongly preferred or in process of attaining license.

  • Strong design skills.

  • Minimum 3-7 years’ experience in design & construction documents of healthcare project in Houston area.

  • Knowledge of architectural practice, including design, documentation, detailing, building materials, building codes, and construction techniques.

  • Proficient in Revit, BIM360, AutoCAD, Enscape, Bluebeam, and MS Office Suite.

  • Positive attitude and willingness to work within a team.

  • Demonstrate technical proficiency and creative problem solving.

  • Strong verbal, written and graphic communication skills.

Note:

  • Hybrid Work From Home (70%) / Work from Office (30%) - Negotiable based on position.

Interior Architect / Interior Designer

C/V Architects is seeking new Interior Architect / Interior Designer staff member for our office. Our work includes institutional work, which includes healthcare & higher ed, and interiors. We offer an engaging and collaborative environment in where creativity is encouraged. Our approach is to provide the latest technologies and practices for members to reach their maximum potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaboration from SD-CA phases of a project.

  • Assist in the selection, specification, procurement of furniture, finishes, & equipment.

  • Coordination with consultants and client.

  • Participation in the maintenance of the office material resource library. Ideal candidate will be encouraged to research and grow the library.

  • Engage in multiple projects in various phases of design or construction.

  • Design custom furniture, millwork, and lighting. Document design intent for construction.

Qualifications

Education/skills required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Interior Design from CIDA-accredited university.

  • 2-7 years’ experience in the industry.

  • Proficient in Proficient in Revit, BIM360, AutoCAD, Enscape, Bluebeam, and MS Office Suite.

  • Understanding and wide knowledge base of finishes, fixtures, & furnishings.

  • Positive attitude and willingness to work within a team.
